Interests
I do not carry out what might be considered tradiational reaserch in the academic context, rather my work is applied, either focusing on solveing real world industrial problems or to devlop engineering education.
The first focuses on developing my core technical expertise in the performance of materials, this is done through supporting companies to solve problems related to : The selection of materials, design, testing of materials, in-service performance of material, integrity management and failure investigation. The second area uses this, other experience and my scholarship activities to integrate professional practice into engineering education.
