Development of a new High Throughput CRISPR platform for detection of microRNA

Supervisor: Rob KRAMS
Apply by:30 July 2018

Description

CRISPR is emerging as a novel, specific tool to edit human genomes. We have developed a unique platform that enables us to screen CRISPR interventions on a huge scale. This unique platform has been tested on a variety of difficult-to transfect human cells (fibroblasts, endothelial cells, macrophages) where it works well. Herein we will modify the platform for high throughput screening of microRNA in an unprecedented way.

The student will learn to work with the platform learn transfection, learn to work with microRNA and he/she will be a part of a larger team working on this topic.
