Professor Joe Briscoe was invited to give a talk at Lightsource BP - a global leader in solar development, management and operations - to give his perspective on the exciting and fast-moving area of perovskite solar cells.

Prof Briscoe gave an overview of the fundamentals, potential advantages, applications and challenges for perovskite solar cells. He also talked about the commercial landscape, and what is needed for perovskite solar cells to finally enter the market.

Prof Briscoe was very happy to be hosted by Ana Karen Zitter - a 2017 graduate of the Sustainable Energy Systems MSc course in the School of Engineering and Materials Science. Prof Briscoe supervised Ana Karen for her MSc project and it is fantastic that she is forging a successful career in the solar industry!
