Anureet Kaur has become the latest member of James Busfield's Soft Matter Group to pass their PhD exam. Anureet completed her PhD viva on the 27th September defending a thesis entitled, " Development of Self-healing and Recyclable Elastomers." Anureet was also supervised by Julien Gautrot and Gabriel Cavalli.

This was an industrially funded PhD project sponsored by Weir Group. Anureet has been a model research student not only producing high quality journal papers whilst recently working part time as a teaching fellow, but she also recently won the International Rubber Conference best student presentation award.

Anureet will now start working as a PDRA in James’ group supported by a 3 year EPSRC Sustainable Manufacturing grant held jointly with Queens University Belfast and Warwick University. Her new project will look to extend her PhD studies as we aim to develop recyclable Natural Rubber materials for engineering use. This project will continue the collaboration with Weir Group and other industrial collaborators.
