Leihao Chen won the IRCO Prize for the best student presentation at the International Rubber Conference 2019 for his paper on "Changes in Optical Transmission of a Soft Membrane Using a Dielectric Elastomer Actuator." The judges commented that Leihao's work was not only professionally prepared but it was the most significant breakthrough presented by a student at this annual international conference. Leihao's supervisor, Prof James Busfield commented that the award was an excellent reward for Leihao who has worked diligently on this project for the last three years. #IRC2019 @jamesbusfield
