Yinping Tao passes her PhD

Yinping Tao has successfully completed her PhD viva today on a thesis entitled, "Predicting the fatigue life and introducing structural health monitoring in cord reinforced rubber composites." She was supervised by James Busfield and Emiliano Bilotti and was also significantly supported by Ton Peijs and Han Zhang. Yinping's work has been published in 2 journal articles already with other papers in the pipeline. The examiners (Prof Andy Bushby and Dr Davide De Focatiis of Nottingham University) commented that "Yinping did exceptionally well in her viva and explained her work very clearly." Having completed her PhD Yinping is moving to the North of England to take up a position as a KTP fellow. Yinping is the third member of the Soft Matter Group to complete her viva in the last week.
