Over 40 participants from academia and industry gathered at Technische Universität Berlin to focus on industrial application in Turbomachinery Aerodynamic and Multidisciplinary Optimization: Current state of the art and future trends.

The event was organised by Queen Mary University London UK and Rolls Royce Deutschland in presence of international speakers from Rolls Royce Deutschland, Queen Mary University London UK; National Technical University of Athens Greece; MTU, DLR and Siemens Germany, The Von Karman Institute and Cenaero Belgium.

Speakers presented the achievements and challenges of numerical optimisation in current practice in industrial turbomachinery design.
